Mandy May Cheetham is know for her quirky, unpredictable characters. Her musical sketch series MUTHA was produced for truTV as part of Rachel Dratch’s Late Night Snack alongside sketches from Alec Baldwin, Rachel Dratch and Sarah Silverman, and was executive produced by Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim’s Abso Lutely Productions. It can now be seen on HBO max.
Her wacky talk show, Mandy Mayhem’s Rapping with Actors, was created for and can be viewed on Bell Canada’s VOD channel Fibe tv1, Amazon Prime and Tubi.
Her short film The Right Man was chosen as a finalist at iO Funny Women’s Fest in LA, and featured at comedy festivals in NY and Toronto.
Her dramatic work has also garnered awards and recognition, including her work in Companionship which won her the prestigious Brian Linehan Actors Award from the Canadian National Screen Institute. She played significant roles in the films Emma and Father which won her two best actress nominations in International festivals and screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and Cannes (Court Metrage) respectively.
Mandy trained at the Lee Strasberg Institute and UCB in NYC, at The Second City in Toronto, Actors Way In in Los Angeles, Meisner with John Riven in Toronto, and the Berg Studios with Gregory Berger-Sobeck (Yale Faculty) in LA.
